Learn the difference between Winus automated workflows and how to deploy them.

Agents vs. Skills

What is a Skill?

A Skill is a specific, automated workflow template designed to perform a distinct financial task. Think of it as a macro powered by a hundred-billion parameter model.

  • Examples: A "Public Company Earnings Review" skill that reads an entire 10-K and outputs a single-page summary. Or a "Thematic Stock Screening" skill that parses theme logic and validates it with key financial ratio data.
  • Who Builds Them: Winus has an Official Library of skills, but you can also create, re-brand, and deploy custom skills tailored to your firm's methodologies.

What is an Agent?

An Agent is the autonomous "assistant" that runs the Skill. When you employ an agent, you give it resources (like a PDF report) and assign it a Skill. The Agent then autonomously queries data, validates facts, and delivers the finalized output without requiring your continuous supervision.

Why Use Skills Instead of Chat?

While Financial Chat is perfect for dynamic, one-off questions during your workday, Skills are built for scale and consistency:

  • Repetitive Tasks: If you run the same fundamental analysis on six different stocks every Monday morning, converting that workflow into a Skill ensures it is done identical every time.
  • Team Standardization: Build a custom skill "Company Investment One-Pager." Share it with your entire research team so everyone produces identical, boardroom-ready formatting regardless of their AI prompting abilities.

Getting Started

It's simple to get started. Navigate to the Agents tab and select an Official Winus skill to run your first automated process.
